Description

Good day,

I am from Singapore, looking to take my packing experience and relocate to the New Zealand.

I am an ex-military parachute rigger with the Singapore Army, with around 6 years experience in packing, checking, and repairing static-line and ram-air parachutes. I have supported local events like the National Day parades, and overseas exercises to Indonesia, Thailand, and South Africa for military exercises.

I have made static-line and free-fall tandem jumps, and have rigged countless mains and reserves and will need only minimal training. My current certificates were issued by the Army (equivalent to Senior Rigger in USA standards) so I might simply need a course to accredit me as a certified packer by your local accreditation standards and I am good to go (our master riggers were certified in USA but due to budget issues, not everyone is allowed a chance to be sent there).

I have experience rigging static line mains and reserves, sport mains and reserves, pilots’ rigs, and tandem mains.

In between the end of my tenure with the local Army till now, I have completed a diploma, a specialist diploma, and a few safety courses as well, to upgrade myself. Including my current capacity as a Safety Officer in the marine industry, as well as previously for the construction and manufacturing industries too, overall, I have been a Safety person for many years, but rigging just provides a different level of satisfaction. Administrative work is also a strong point of mine so I am really a all-rounder.

I am a free, jovial, friendly and easy going spirit! I have a driver’s license as well and I’m all willing to use it. Coming from a multi-racial country like Singapore, I also speak English, Mandarin and the dialects well, so I am great with customers too.

My father has passed away recently so I am able to relocate with no difficulty on my end.

I am attaching my resume for your perusal. Please feel free to let me know if you need further clarifications as I understand that it may be in different local terms which may differ from yours.

I would really like to relocate to NZ and be considered for permanent residence, even citizenship. Handing in my visa next month and I am planning to head over in December as Summer has the best chance of landing a job, but I am trying to my best to bag one before I land in NZ. I am looking for a job that I am experienced in.

Please consider me kindly and let me know how I can contribute to you, and continue my interest in rigging, in wide, open, beautiful NZ.
