Description

Hey my names Adam,

I’m an outdoor instructor from England currently traveling and gaining as much experience in the outdoor industry as I can, I have spent the last 2 years in Australia working as a stand-up paddle board and kayak instructor/Guide, I am planning to arrive in new Zealand in September on a 23 month visa and am currently looking for and outdoor Job for the Upcoming season.

I want to work for your company because I am looking for a job where I feel exited to go to work every day and I believe I can achieve that with you. Additionally because I enjoy working with people in an environment where they can learn new skills and have an amazing experience.

Some of the relevant skills I can bring to your company are effective leadership, proven organisation and excellent teamwork. I have developed and used these skills over the past 4 years where I have volunteered as a scout leader with my local group, these skills are very important for planning and running safe and fun weekly meetings and the occasional weekend camp.

I gained a lot of experience as an instructor during my time at college where I gained my BCU (British Canoe Union) Level 1 Kayak & Canoe Instructor qualification, as well as numerous other qualifications such as Assessing risk in sport, Phycology of fitness and environmental education.

In my spare time I enjoy going hiking with friends and family and helping them find their limits and experience places they may not normally go. Also I enjoy wild camping and practising bush craft skills which has been relatively easy as I have spent a lot of my time traveling Australia in rural locations living in my tent.

My current goal is in September 2018 I want to start walking the Te Araroa New Zealand trail, I am still planning my trip but have already started training and am very excited to start my 3000km traverse across one of the most beautiful country’s in the world! Additional after New Zealand I am planning to go to the USA or Canada to gain more guiding experience.
